All Souls ~ Grief Circle

Come to a place where your grief is welcome.

Grief that has nowhere to go does not leave. The mist thickens into fog, settles in the heart, and darkens our days, until our joy and aliveness are harder to reach. The world contracts to the size of our grief, and we can find ourselves alone inside it.

This All Souls' Day, join us in communion to meet this landscape together, and honour all that sits in your heart.

Grief is an initiation, an awakening and a natural process. It is an expression of our love, our passion for justice, our interconnectedness.

Many moments in a life can pull us into the deep.

We may grieve the loss of a person or animal kin.

We may grieve the ending of a relationship, with a partner or a friend.

We may grieve the closing of a chapter, the death of a part of ourselves.

We may grieve the daily hurts of modern life, the climate crisis and suffering of the world.

Each asks for tender holding, from whichever wellspring it flows.

Your grief is sacred. Your tears are sacred. Your rage is sacred. All are welcome here.
