January is often seen as a bleak month, the bare bones of winter, stripped of the glittering festivities and fire magic of the months just passed. Yet this quieter time holds its own medicine: an invitation to turn inward and listen more closely to the whispers of your heart.
For January's Soulful Sunday we’ll gather around the fire for a Cacao ritual, deep rest and soul journalling. I’ve found Cacao to be a creative portal into own writing; a place from which expression pours straight from the heart.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with a warming, velvety cup of ceremonial Cacao, lovingly prepared and ready to be infused with a selection of herbal elixirs. Together, we'll set a heart intention and sip slowly, savouring the simplicity of the moment and the gentle crackle of the fire.
Having received this soul-satiating medicine, we’ll settle into Yoga Nidra, a guided practice of deep rest held with Crystal Sound. Here you’re invited to surrender and meet the stillness of the season.
As you return, we’ll move into a quiet creative session, making space to listen closely to what wants to be expressed. Writing or poetry, painting or drawing, following whatever feels true for you. Art materials and journalling prompts will be provided, and you're very welcome to bring a project from home: the one you rarely find time for or gets squeezed around the edges of your day.
We'll close with a sharing circle, allowing space for whatever has emerged, accompanied by herbal tea and delicious cake from the Mill Yard Café.
